Who we are
Brothers Aaron & Levi
VanderAa is Dutch for "of the river", and the music moves the same way. Drums, beatbox and harmonies crash into each other over heavy, modern production.
Aaron
Vocals, guitar, keys
Levi
Vocals, drums
Darwin
We cut our teeth busking the Northern Territory. A Darwin Elder gifted Aaron a yidaki, and that connection to First Nations culture still beats under everything we play.
The road
Busking turned into Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Burning Man. We helped bring Red Lightning to life, a drum prayer that reached more than a million listeners.
Now
Based on the Sunshine Coast and finishing our debut album, Gravity.
"VanderAa begins with the music and ends with the music. What lies in the space between is a story we love to share."Aaron VanderAa
